Machine Operator 2 shifts

Dicofoods (until recently Dicogel and Begro) is a frozen vegetable company with headquarters in Ardooie. Together with the company Westfro (also frozen vegetables) and Roger & Roger (producer of Croky potato chips, among others), they are part of a family owned company. Dicofoods and Westfro produce and commercialize frozen vegetables, vegetable mixtures, fruit, potatoes and herbs for customers in the retail, foodservice and industrial sectors. Today they jointly realize a turnover of approximately 160 million euros with 450 enthusiastic employees. During the season, the number of employees can increase significantly.

Your tasks:

After an internal training, you will be given the following range of tasks:

• You will be responsible for part of the production process, i.e. palletising cartons onto pallets, wrapping and labelling the pallet.
• After an internal training you will be responsible for the proper functioning of 7 identical palletising machines, 2 wrapping machines and 1 labelling machine.
• You operate these machines and set them up correctly according to the work order.
• You ensure that the machines run the desired numbers and deliver quality.
• You independently check the machines for correct operation and adjust the setting according to the desired level.
• You check the quality of the manufactured products.
• You work according to the safety and hygiene regulations.
• You report deviations or malfunctions when they are extensive to the supervisor.
• You supply the packaging material and the empty pallets.
• You can drive a forklift truck.
• You report to the team leader.

Your profile:

• You have at least an A2 diploma and you have relevant experience as a machine operator, other operator or adjuster, or you are equivalent by experience.
• You speak good Dutch/French and/or English
• You have a sense of responsibility
• You are technically inclined
• You work accurately and in a structured way
• You have an eye for quality, hygiene, efficiency, team spirit
• You have a positive and flexible mindset
• Experience in the food sector is an asset
